I haven’t been posting much because

a. I have been so tired

b. I’m not sure anyone needs updates on exactly how much more or less tired I am on any given day, and I can’t seem to get any of the more substantive posts I am thinking about out of my head and onto the blog.

c. I am getting too anxious about other things I should be writing (the ones I get paid to work on) to be able to write here very much.

Anyway, since I can’t resist the pregnancy symptom update:

I am still tired. I have various aches and pains. The past couple of days the hip discomfort at night got better, but I started having more little pains in the pelvis (cue trains of thought about whether that pain counts as a contraction and should I be wondering if it is just Braxton-Hicks or not and so on). I still wake up at night, but somehow the sleep seems better overall. I thought I was done with the crying but it came back this week.

The best news is that, according to the glucose tolerance test results, I do not have gestational diabetes, so I can stop worrying about that and start eating better again (the prospect of having to make big dietary changes made me crave a lot more sweets than usual the past couple of weeks).

Most importantly, at my checkup last Thursday, the doctor said everything (blood pressure, weight, measurements, and so on) was good. Just when I think I have reached a disinterested stance on my weight, I start obsessing again, but I won’t go into that now. I am still wearing my normal clothes.

You are still wearing normal clothes?! At 31 weeks?! I hadn’t even seen the second line clearly when I put on jeans with a panel.

    Wow. You are doing great!

Um, exactly what Lisa V wrote. Exactly.

Glad to hear you passed the GD test. That’s nice not to have to worry about that. The being tired thing is kind of a bummer; I had so much energy during the 2nd trimester that the 3rd was kind of a letdown. That, and I swelled up like a boiled sausage.

I’m glad to hear you’re well otherwise! Hope you’re getting some rest. :)

How are you wearing normal clothes? HOW??? I’m in pregnancy clothes at 14 weeks damnit.

Sorry to hear you are so tired, you’re definitely not anaemic?

Hi! Sorry I’ve been away for awhile! I’m really glad to hear you don’t have gestational diabetes. I wouldn’t feel bad about still wearing normal clothes at 31 weeks. I think my sister at 30 weeks could totally pull it off, if she wanted to, but she’s too into “looking pregnant.” She looks like I did way back in November, and I was still wearing regular sweaters with my smallest maternity pants then. Hope the aches and pains ease up and you continue to get some decent sleep!
